Blood Works and Their Importance

The American Science Journal states that anyone “healthy” over the ages of 25-39 should have blood works done every 5 years and everyone 40 and above should have them on a yearly basis.

I have noticed with my clients that many do not do their blood works because:

  • They find it too expensive and their insurance does not cover it.
  • Just because they don’t complain of any pain or discomfort they think they are healthy
  • They are afraid of doing it to find that something is wrong with them.

Blood works provide critical information about a person’s health . They are the important tests that all doctors ask for which are: Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and small particles of LDL, fasting glucose and your fasting insulin levels.

Blood tests also reveal levels of essential vitamins and minerals , namely: Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Iodine, all vitamin B, vitamin D, E and A.

By reviewing your health history and other complaints, I have a good indication of what your eating habits are.

Your health is the most important asset that you own. It is unfortunate that we do not value it as much as we do and we take it for granted. We all want that magic pill that will solve our problem and allow us to continue eating in the same way. Unfortunately there is no magic pill. The medicine that we take masks our problems and causes us to develop even more problems. Our bodies are trying to reach out and tell us that it is not happy but we do not listen to it. The body then reacts with an inflammation such as a rash, eczema, bloating, constipation, diarrhea etc. and then develops into a full-blown disease. Hopefully we are able to catch it in time and reverse its effect.

Wouldn’t you want to know if the food we put into your body, although delicious, is causing you to get sick? All we need to do is change our eating habits and make a few lifestyle changes to allow us to eliminate/reduce most of the medications that we are taking.

So don’t you think that doing the basic blood works is an important indicator to telling you about where your health stands?
